I'm not sure that...Hi, thanks for the comment! I'm not sure that passage is in opposition to the principle of the Golden Rule, but even if it were, it's beside the point. No one is saying that all religions say all the same thing, or that they all agree, or even that they are all compatible. I'm sure one can find many things throughout all the religions that are in direct opposition to one another. This post is specifically about the Golden Rule and its presence in many different traditions, including some that haven't historically influenced one another. That point stands regardless.
